Soccer Analyst Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions
The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak came to an end by the Black Cats before the international hiatus, but can the Premier League leaders recover against local foes Spurs this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked soccer expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against AI, fans and a range of special visitors.
For the twelfth round, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
Murs' latest record, the new release, is available on the weekend.
Football and Family Life
Murs is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not planning a serious return as a player.
"{I recently played in a charity game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!
"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."
Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to emulate his dad by becoming their coach.
"I won't force football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their Saturday football team," he said.
"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a football club for a while too.
"My dad coached with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our team for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Top Division Predictions

- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this fixture will be fairly tight, though. The Clarets are well organised and their only home losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.
This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
The expert's prediction: 1-2
Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, the Hammers secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they appear strong again.
West Ham's sole on the road victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's manager.
So, what on earth do I go with here - can the Hammers continuing their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?
I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Villa was a blip.
The pundit's forecast: 2-0
The guest's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2
The algorithm's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the season began, but they have impressed a several observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their last four games.
A family member advised me to get Bees striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.
Thiago will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am still not going to pick him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.
They have not had great fortune on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always strong at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to attack on the break but I think the home manager's side carry much more of a danger.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
Olly's prediction: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many scores but it actually proves to be quite close. 1-1
The computer's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a massive game for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six games.
They have have plenty of quality in their squad but it still seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.
Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.
Their performance in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not witnessed anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.
The logical choice would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the close of last month.
However I am not do that. Rather, I really need to carry on going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good results because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.
Looking at Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the sole side they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.
Sutton's prediction: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a bad streak... but they have still been decent at home this campaign. 2-0
AI's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a tough one to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but might they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
