Iran Reports Assault on US Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Widespread Military Operations.
Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Bahrain, as Iran launched strikes throughout the Middle East in response for a large-scale and ongoing assault targeting the nation by the US and Israel.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an area close to the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The full scale of any destruction is unclear and the American officials has remained silent.
Regional Interceptions
Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait - all home to US military bases - said they have intercepted incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence announced it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.
IRGC Statement
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was attacking American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the attack on the Islamic Republic carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That preceding assault - initiated at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck locations linked to the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump encouraging the Iranian people to revolt against the government.

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military reported it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The defence ministry of the UAE announced that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems dealt with the missiles with great effectiveness and shot down a several projectiles," the statement continued.
Officials reported wreckage landed in a neighborhood in the capital, causing some material damage and the death of one civilian.
The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
