Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
