Gus Atkinson increased the fitness woes of the England squad after leaving the ground during Saturday's play in the Melbourne Test versus the Australians.
The right-arm seamer pulled up with his hamstring post-delivery of the fourth over on Saturday.
The England team reported the 27-year-old reported "discomfort" and was to take time off the field for further assessment "during the day".
