Ex- Physician Accused of Sexual Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities report that a ex- physician stands accused of performing assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were under his care.
Details of the Serious Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising some against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
A senior CPS official said, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Investigation
The charges follow what investigators described as a “detailed inquiry” into alleged sexual offences at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

Prosecutors said the forty-five charges include:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempted penetrative assault.
